Putra Business School
Introduction
PBS was established in 1997 as the Graduate School of Management (GSM) of Universiti Putrajaya (UPM), which was upgraded from the UPM Graduate School of Management (GSM) in 2011 in response to the Prime Minister's Department's "2020 Ambition to Build a World-Class Business School". In 2011, in response to the Prime Minister's Department's "2020 Ambition to build a world-class business school" program, it was upgraded from UPM's Graduate School of Management (GSM) to the PBS Foundation, with UPM's President serving as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the PBS Foundation, and became Malaysia's first self-governing business school to have the status of a full-fledged university in October 2018. Building of the Deputy Vice Chancellor.PBS offers a wide range of business management programmes spanning Master of Business Administration (MBA), PhD programmes and a number of other specialized programmes. The school focuses on integrating theory and practice to develop students' leadership and innovation in the business world.
Campus
Putra Business School is located within the campus of Universiti Putra Malaysia and shares the rich learning resources and various services and facilities of Universiti Putra Malaysia. With a main campus of 1103 hectares and a branch campus of 715 hectares, Universiti Putra Malaysia is one of the largest universities in Malaysia and Asia, and it also has the largest green campus environment in Malaysia. It includes an 18-hole golf course and has one of the most advanced and modern infrastructures in the world today - a fiber-optic communication system. This system covers the entire campus, providing students with the most convenient conditions for learning, living, entertainment and recreation today.
Features and Advantages
Putra Business School (PBS) is the first business school in Malaysia to receive AACSB accreditation, as well as a number of other accreditations including ABEST21 from Japan and CMI accreditation from the Chartered Management Institute. In the Eduniversal Global Business School 2020 Ranking, PBS is ranked among the top schools in Far East Asia and second in Malaysia in terms of overall score, and first in Malaysia in many areas.
Specifically, PBS excels in the area of MBA, particularly in the area of Human Resource Management.All faculty members at PBS hold PhDs, with over 60% Malaysian professors, the only university in the field with such a high percentage. Their globally recognized MBA program is accredited by AACSB, ABEST21 and MQA and students can earn up to 3 certificates.
In addition, PBS offers students the opportunity to build professional networks through partnerships with reputable industry organizations. These partners include the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), the Malaysian Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (MAICSA), the Malaysian Institute of Human Resource Management (MIHRM) and the Institute of Marketing Malaysia (IMM). Dormitory
Putra Business School is located within Universiti Putra Malaysia and shares the rich learning resources and services of the University of Putra. Universiti Putra offers two types of on-campus accommodation for international students.
On-campus accommodation facilities: Twin rooms with beds, mattresses, cupboards, chairs and desks; and regular bathrooms (there are no separate bathrooms, students will need to share bathrooms on each floor), ceiling fans, and WIFI available.
Common facilities: coin-operated washing machines, iron, kettle, laundry, snack bar and cafeteria.
