Sunway University (Sunway University), founded in 1986, after more than 30 years of development, has become the largest private institution of higher learning in Malaysia, Sunway University has rapidly developed into one of Malaysia's famous institutions of higher learning, has won numerous recognition and awards at home and abroad, and has become one of the internationally recognized high-quality universities.
Sunway University is a world-class institution of higher learning with a 5-star rating of "Excellent" by the Malaysian Academic Accreditation Agency (MQA) and one of only 11 universities to be awarded the "University of Excellence in Digital Technology". Since its inception, Sunway University has been ranked among the top 2% of QS World universities by its strong strength. It is ranked 121st in the QS Asia University Rankings 2022 and in the top 150 universities in the world under 50.

Sunway University's state-of-the-art modern campus is connected to a variety of social and community facilities through treetop safety walkways (" Canopy walkways "), providing students and staff with a unique sustainable learning, work and social environment surrounding the campus and Sunway City. Sunway City is a prime example of the new global movement of a sustainable "15-minute city" with connectivity and access to all amenities within a 15-minute walk. Near the campus, connected by a canopy walkway, the school boasts the Sunway Lake theme Park, Sunway Pyramid Shopping Centre (one of the largest shopping centres in the country and the region) and Sunway Medical Centre, one of the largest and most fully equipped private hospitals in Southeast Asia offering world-class medical services, among many more.

Sunway University has received a five-star "excellent" rating from the Malaysian Government (in the latest Setara assessment exercise) and is one of only 11 universities in Malaysia to receive special "Advanced Digital Technology University" status. Sunway University has established close cooperation with many international universities including Harvard University, Oxford University and Cambridge University. Some of the latter's professors speak publicly through the Jeffrey Cheah Distinguished Speaker Series, speak to Sunway University and the wider Sunway City community from time to time, and appoint distinguished visiting scholars. These are named after the founder of Sunway City and University, Tan Sri Jeffrey Cheah, who is also the chairman of Sunway Group, one of Malaysia's leading industrial conglomerates and the developer of Sunway City. We have a very close relationship with the University of Lancaster in the UK, which allows Sunway students taking multiple courses to also qualify for a Lancaster degree.

Malaysia Sunway University dormitory is divided into single rooms, double rooms and quadruple rooms, which are divided into air conditioning and no air conditioning. Sunway University Malaysia non-air-conditioned quadruple hostel costs RM4,230 for three semesters (no Windows, with Windows is RM5,190) and non-air-conditioned double hostel costs RM6,030 for three semesters. A total of RM8,690 is charged for three semesters at Sunway University Malaysia with air-conditioned double rooms and RM11,090 for three semesters at air-conditioned single rooms. Sunway University has four residential areas, which provide students with single, double and quadruple rooms. In addition to providing accommodation infrastructure, dormitory also has air conditioning, microwave oven, electric water heater, wifi, dormitory area with basketball court, swimming pool, badminton court, park, accommodation conditions are extremely good, only a few minutes to reach the teaching facilities.
