Introduction

UNITAR International University was established in 1997 as the first virtual university in Southeast Asia and among the earliest private universities in the country.
It is the first institution in Asia to be awarded a QS 5- Star Rating for the Online Learning category. In alignment with the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals, UNITAR’s holistic and innovative learning ecosystem provides a comprehensive programme offering for all socio-economic levels whilst developing highly employable and entrepreneurial global citizens.

Campus

UNITAR, the first Virtual university in Southeast Asia, has a strong presence with campuses spread throughout the country. We are driven by UNIEC (or UNITAR Education Core) which comprises 3 components of blended-learning; Face to face, online learning and customised learning environment.

UNITAR’s main campus was first established in 1997 and remains one of our biggest campuses in the country.
UNITAR has an extensive Knowledge Management Centre comprising reading materials in both print and electronic format. We have more than 31,000 printed books which are well-catalogued, for easy access and retrieval. The Knowledge Management Centre subscribes to multi-disciplinary databases which consist of electronic journals, e-books, reports, online theses and plagiarism checker.
Besides, UNITAR’s One Stop Centre is a centralised concept that enables students to take care of matters related to financial aid, fees and billing, payments, disbursements, registration and enrolment in one visit without having to be referred elsewhere, making it convenient and efficient for our students.
The UNITAR Auditorium seats a maximum capacity of between 300 – 350 students comfortably.Student Lounge with WiFi connectivity is a favourite for students to hang out in between classes or as a meeting spot. A warm and inviting cafe where friends can gather over hot drinks and food, this cafe is conveniently situated at Level 2.
The Career Placement Centre is a platform that provides UNITAR students with a holistic exposure beyond academics – to build your employability skills, entrepreneurship skills and get you ready for the world of work.

Dormitory

UNITAR's hostel is located at Pacific Place in Ara Damansara, close to the main campus, approximately 4.2km away, with a 15-minute drive. Nearby public amenities include LRT station and shopping mall. It is exclusively offered to undergraduate students.
The hostel offers twin sharing rooms for 2 occupants, middle sharing rooms for 4 occupants, and master sharing rooms for 4 occupants. It is segregated into male and female quarters.
Facilities at the hostel include: swimming pool, multipurpose hall, gym, playground, rooftop garden, and surau.
Room furnishings include: bed, mattress, wardrobe, wall or ceiling fan, chair, study table, and water heater.
